Environmental & Sustainability Policy
How we work to reduce waste and our environmental impact while kitting out grassroots clubs across the UK.
Last updated: March 2026
Our commitment
CORE Teamwear Limited is committed to running our business responsibly and to reducing our environmental impact wherever we reasonably can. We want to be honest about where we are on that journey rather than making claims we cannot stand behind. This policy sets out the practical steps we take today and the areas we are working to improve.
As a supplier of custom teamwear to grassroots clubs, our biggest environmental considerations are how our products are made, how they are transported, how they are packaged, and how long they last. We take each of these seriously.
Honesty about our footprint
Our garments are manufactured overseas, primarily in Pakistan, and are shipped to the UK before being delivered to clubs. We are open about the fact that international manufacturing and shipping carry an environmental cost. We do not think the answer is to hide that, but to be transparent about it and to make thoughtful choices that reduce our impact where we can.
Wherever possible we consolidate production and shipments so that products travel efficiently, rather than sending frequent small, part-filled shipments.
Made to order, not made for landfill
One of the most meaningful things we do for the environment is built into our business model. The vast majority of our kit is produced to order, made specifically for the club that has requested it, rather than mass-produced on speculation.
This matters. A huge amount of waste in the clothing industry comes from overproduction: garments that are made, never sold, and ultimately destroyed. By producing to order, we avoid holding large volumes of surplus stock and dramatically reduce the risk of unsold kit going to waste.
Products designed to last
The longer a garment is used, the lower its impact over its lifetime. We use durable fabrics, quality construction and sublimation printing that is designed not to fade, crack or peel, so that kit stays wearable season after season rather than being thrown away and replaced.
For clubs, longer-lasting kit also means fewer reorders and better value. Doing right by the club and doing right by the environment point in the same direction here.
Packaging and delivery
We aim to keep the waste around our products as low as possible:
- We package bulk orders efficiently by team and by player, which reduces unnecessary individual packaging.
- We keep excess and single-use packaging to the minimum needed to protect products in transit.
- We continue to look for more recyclable and reduced-plastic packaging options as they become viable for our order types.
In our own operations
Within our UK operations we work to keep our day-to-day footprint down by:
- Operating largely digitally, with online design approvals, order forms and invoicing that reduce printing and paper waste.
- Reusing and recycling office and warehouse materials wherever facilities allow.
- Being mindful of energy use across our premises and equipment.
Working with our suppliers
We favour long-term relationships with a small number of manufacturing partners. This gives us better visibility of how our products are made and a stronger basis for encouraging responsible practices over time. As our business grows, we intend to deepen our conversations with suppliers around materials, efficiency and environmental improvement.
Continual improvement
We recognise that sustainability is a direction of travel, not a finished destination, and we are not claiming to have everything solved. We are committed to reviewing this policy, being honest about our progress, and improving our practices as we grow and as better options become available to us. This policy is reviewed annually.
